Early Education and Training

Zoriy Zinger, a violinist, embarked on his musical journey at the age of six when he enrolled in the distinguished Russian Kazan Musical School. Progressing to Kazan College, he earned his Master’s degree of Art in music from the Kazan Conservatory, emerging as a skilled violinist. His exceptional talent led to a teaching position at Kazan College, where he instructed students of all ages. In 1981, he earned his diploma as a soloist of the Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra at Kazan State Conservatory.

Performing Career and Teaching

Throughout his education, Zoriy concurrently pursued a career as a violinist, performing with the College Chamber Ensemble and the Conservatory Chamber Orchestra. From 1980 to 1992, he served as a Violinist in the Tatarstan (Kazan) National Symphony Orchestra.

Career in New York

In 1993, Zoriy relocated to New York. After years as an active performer in orchestras and chamber groups, he joined the ensemble group, the ‘Empyreal String Quartet.’ Renowned for their rigorous training and unwavering professionalism, they became one of the most polished and versatile performing groups in the New York area. With over 200 performances annually, the Quartet, managed by Steven Scott Productions, participated in prestigious events such as the Metropolitan Museum for the Grand Opening of the Faberge Collection, Lincoln Center, and the Museum of Modern Art for the 100th Anniversary of the New York Times Magazine. They were featured at Gracie Mansion for the 1997 National Mayors’ Conference and made appearances on ABC’s Regis and Kathie Lee show. CBS, ABC, and Russian Radio dedicated programs to the Ensemble.

Solo Career & Performances

In 2000, Zoriy chose to pursue an independent career, performing at notable venues like Madison Square Garden during a Ricky Martin concert and the Russian Tea Room for New Year’s Eve. He was also invited to Channel 11’s ‘Inside Edition’ for their special ‘Weddings’ program. In 2000, he participated in the New Jersey Lottery celebration, sharing the stage with greats like Ray Charles and the Orchestra and Chorus of St. Peter by the Sea, directed by Rev. Alphonse Stephenson.

Current Endeavors in Florida

Now based in Florida, Zoriy continues his successful career, boasting extensive experience as a group performer, soloist, and strolling violinist, available for both public and private functions. His broad repertoire spans various music styles, including classical, jazz, contemporary, Broadway, American standard, Gypsy, Italian, Irish, Latin, and more.”
